Chipotle Chicken with Peach relish

Smokey Chipotle Chicken with zesty Peach relish. A spicy, sweet party of a mid-week dinner



  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoons ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoons ground cloves
  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 peaches (peeled and diced)
  • 1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce (2 if you’re really into chilli)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup red capsicum (diced)
  • 1/4 cup green capsicum (diced)
  • 1/4 cup red onion (diced)
  • 2 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped roughly


  • Preheat BBQ or ribbed skillet pan to medium-high heat
  • Combine salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves in a small bowl. Season chicken breasts on all sides with the mixture
  • In a food processor, puree 1 of the peaches, chipotle, and lemon juice to make a glaze. Set aside
  • Make the relish by combining remaining diced peaches, capsicum, onion, and coriander in a bowl.
  • Spoon a tablespoon of the glaze over and toss. Set aside
  • Grill the chicken for 6 to 8 minutes per side, brushing with the glaze every two minutes.
  • Serve chicken hot, topped with peach relish
